Natural Habitat
The King palm (Archontophoenix Alexandrae) is native to Queenland (a state in northwest of Australia).
The King palm occurs in coastal rainforests, lowland swamp forests and at 2000-3000 feet elevation in its natural habitat.
Distribution
The King palm is widely distributed as an ornamental in tropical and warm subtropical areas around the world. The Australian rainforest palm is extremely popular in Hawaii, and it has been naturalized in large areas. The King palm tree is a commonly grown ornamental plant in Florida.
The Archontophoenix Alexandrae is very popular in Australia where it can be found from New South Wales (a state located in southestern Australia) to northern coast of Queenland.
